Analysis of intracellular signaling reveals key information about cell functionality, both at basal level and after perturbation with a physiological or pathological stimulus. Previously,this analysis was performed using the western blot assay with limitations such as the high number of cells required, the impossibility to distinguish different cell populations in a heterogeneous sample, and the length of the procedure. Now, it is possible to analyze intra-cellular signaling by using flow cytometry (phospho-flow cytometry), therefore measuring the phosphorylation state of intracellular proteins at a single cell level. Combining the detection of intracellular epitopes with surface markers allows to unravel-complex signaling networks in heterogeneous cell populations.

In this 1 hour webinar we will introduce the technical considerations to be taken into account to set up a successful phospho-flow analysis. We will also present optimized reagents allowing an easy and fast analysis of intracellular signaling.
Phospho-flow analysis has been widely used in a number of research areas, from basic research to translation research and high-content drug discovery. Therefore, this webinar is suitable for both beginners and experienced users, planning to use flow cytometry for the functional analysis of cells.
