SYTOX® Dead Cell Stains

'Invitrogen offers Molecular Probes® cell-impermeant nucleic acid SYTOX® Dead Cell Stains. Because they do not cross intact cell membranes and also increase fluorescence upon dsDNA binding they are among our most brilliant dead cell stains.

Easy to use, SYTOX® dead cell stains can be applied to cells and visualized without an additional wash step because they are non-fluorescent in aqueous media. These stains can be used on multiple platforms including fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, and microplates.'


SYTOX® Green Stains SYTOX® Green dead cell stain has the highest nucleic acid affinity of all of the SYTOX® dead cell stains. Exhibiting a 100-fold increase in fluores- cence upon nucleic acid binding and minimal base selectivity (unlike DAPI and propidium iodide), SYTOX® Green dead cell stain is great for multi-parametric analysis with blue- or red- fluorescent labels.
